After the whole commotion of Carter Reynolds allegedly "raping" his girlfriend, I decided its time to write this post.
After watching the video, which was rather disturbing and how now been removed from the internet, I understood that what Carter did was so wrong however there were no signs of "rape" in the video in which the public saw. There was no other video suggesting Carter had raped anyone.
Today Carter made a statement on his twitter

Here Carter states he understands what he did was wrong. In the video you see him try to convince his intoxicated girlfriend to give him oral sex. She said that she felt uncomfortable but he proceeded to ask her. Nobody knows what happened after this so therefore no assumptions can be made.
This video has made a lot of youtube/vine fans speak up about their experiences with these online celebs exposing many other idols.
The message I want to spread from this post is that if you, much like maggie, feel uncomfortable in a situation, such as being pressured into sexual activity, you DO NOT have to go along with it. Once you have said no to something you should stand by that, do not give in to peer pressure and stand by what you feel is right. If something is bothering you then you should try to talk to someone about it even if it is a hard thing to do. If you are in a public place you should try speaking up and hopefully someone will help you. This doesn't mean shout "rape" everytime a stranger approaches you but make the public well aware that you are uncomfortable by raising your voice maybe someone will intervene.
Hopefully you have taken away something from this post. Don't give in to peer pressure and never let someone force you into something!
Love
