Face of the Month - March (Favourites) Drugstore

Welcome to the first day of Spring!
I hope you all feel fresh and lovely, I see that the UK has finally gotten that bit of sun that we deserve. I can in fact say, I am writing this whilst sat on my lovely decking outside. Bliss!

Anyway, enough of the weather indulging. Let's talk makeup!

For the duration of March, and the few days remaining I'm sure, I have been picking up the same face products. These have slowly crept into my most used makeup draw (if you want to see a makeup collection/storage post then comment below) meaning I clearly show them a lot of love!
So this month I've been going for a natural look with barely any technical (not that I am very technical) eye makeup.

Starting with primers...Again, as I've probably mentioned before, I am LOVING the L'Oréal Infallible primer. It definitely has a silicone texture which I love as I genuinely feel that it does help my foundation stick much better and for far longer than no primer. I also feel this contributes to my skin care as it creates a base so my pores don't become clogged making my face still feel clear and fresh.

Moving on to foundation...Recently, I picked up a few W7 samples, one of my favourite childhood brands. After reading plenty of reviews I picked up their HD foundation which claims to last 16 hours! I can say after a lot of wear it does last a rather long time without fading or looking patchy and cakey on the skin. This is totally comparable to the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and is a fraction of the price!

Concealers...I really feel that I lack in the concealer department, I literally own 2 concealers...but out of them both the LA girl Pro conceal in Porcelain is the best. It has a thick creamy consistency and blends beautifully both with a beauty blender and brush. I often use my Gino McCray Stippling brush (The one in the photo and a smaller one of the same brand) to blend this out and then use a beauty blender to bounce out all the harsh lines. Love, love, love the coverage this gives, for someone who has very dark under eyes this works a dream.

Taking of my Gino McCray stippling brush, this large one has become my holy grail brush, I just wish I could use it for everything. The bristles are long and not too dense, perfect for stippling although they are still dense enough to thoroughly blend out concealer and foundation. I definitely recommend this brush and hope to purchase more in the future.
(No link sorry)

I have been applying my baby lips in Too Cool all this month before applying lipstick just too keep my lips hydrated after being cracked throughout winter.

For the lips I have been using a new lipstick this month from Freedom Makeup (owned by makeup revolution and MUA). I have been wearing the colour Bare 111, untouched, religiously for the past month. I received this as a free gift after I complained about their Red Collection of lipsticks which were shown to be brown/red and came out pink?! Not sure if anyone else noticed this. The swatches on the box for the Nude Collection also looked very brown however the collection contains 4 light brown nudes and 1 pink toned brown. They are however very creamy!

Next I have been using my MUA Luxe Bronze & Sculpt set. I have been using the matte bronzer to calve out my cheek bones and the highlight just as a little pop on the top of the cheek bones, I'm sure I have raved about this product before and I am excited to try the new highlighting duo in the same range!

Lastly I have been using another W7 sample. This time its the lashtastic mascara, I did have the full size and loved it but it was getting old so I picked up a new one, this is one of my favourite mascaras for lengthening my lashes. It gives a false lash effect whilst still looking natural.

Those were my favourites for this month, let me know any recommendations below!
